Peggy Anne Gordon
Executive Director
Peggy Anne is the Executive Director of Deaf Literacy Initiative for the past 8 years. She first started as a Training Coordinator in 2005. Prior to coming to DLI, Peggy Anne worked at The Canadian Hearing Society (CHS) for the past 17 years teaching at the Impact ASL program and Sign Language Services.
In addition, Peggy Anne is a certified ASL proficiency rater, has years of expertise in teaching ASL, also taught Canadian Deaf culture, Literacy and provide Evaluation and Assessment services.
Anselmo DeSousa
Project Coordinator
Anselmo joined DLI in August of 2009 as a Project Staff - Researcher on the Adult Literacy Curriculum for Signposts and the Independence pathway. Before joining the DLI team, he worked for 12 years at the Office of Provincial Advocacy for Children and Youth.
During his free time, Anselmo enjoys watching movies and going swimming.
Bernie McClennan
Administrative Assistant
Bernie joined DLI in April of 2009 as an Office Assistant. Before joining DLI she ran her own business - a tea room in Streetsville for eight years. Before that Bernie worked for The Canadian Hearing Society as a fundraiser. She also worked for Quality Management Institute as office manager for many years.
